Program Manager for
Advocacy and Outreach

September Hill is the Program Manager for Advocacy and Outreach at the NAACP Hollywood Bureau. She is responsible for developing, organizing and managing the NAACP’s advocacy and outreach efforts within and beyond the entertainment industry.

Previously, as a nonprofit advocacy consultant, September built a track record of effectively creating and leading advocacy efforts on a variety of social issues including access to quality child care and early childhood education, maternal mental health care, arts education, literacy, homelessness, foster care and human trafficking.

September also has over fifteen years experience working in television production for several award shows, music specials, sitcoms and large sporting events. Some shows include: Oscars, Image AwardsEssence AwardsMoeshaThe Wayne Brady ShowSinbad Soul Music FestivalsWorld Cup and several Olympic games.

She earned her Bachelor’s degree from University of Washington and her Master’s degree from Pepperdine University. September currently lives in Los Angeles with her husband and two children.
